RetroArch has so many more shaders available and does the 4:3 aspect ratio better, which is why I want to switch my PSX emulation over to it. Maybe a triple buffered vsync? Hard sync is great since it lowers input lag to a level below proper mednafen, but I’d be happy if I could get at the same level without killing performance. Wasn't able to take a video as Geforce Experience isn't working at the moment, attempting frame dump looks to trigger an unrelated issue and it was the only time I got stuttering and 30fps in menus but it was uncompressed so not surprising.

Perfectly playable but the engine skips on a bunch of sound. Wasn't able to replicate the issue in 4.0-8400, game runs between 120 and 60fps solid, there is no stuttering or lag in the menus. I’m curious if there are any less intensive sync methods that could be implemented that would still reduce lag. Hows the audio with Dolphin Rovelius 11 years ago 1 Ive just started using Dolphin and the first game I tried is Pikmin 2. Just dispatching GL calls doesn’t take much. Non-hard sync doesn’t block, so emulation can take close to 16ms. 1 vkthor Junior Member Posts: 10 Threads: 1 Joined: Aug 2014 Hi I read the other day that in Dolphin 5.0 the infamous crackling noise was fixed and we could at last play with real wiimote sounds, at least using TR-wiimotes. With hard sync, you have a frame timing like:Įmulate Game -> Dispatch GL calls -> Swap -> Wait till GPU has finished, so both emulation and rendering has to happen sequentially within 16ms (very demanding especially if you’re using shaders).
